I'll try pick up a couple diff sets and test today. Will let ya know.

And?

Thanks Abmi, talk about been put on the spot......

Well I actually cheated, I went and installed HID kit with projectors.

Simple, you want better light then do the HID upgrade. As far as I can tell the Osrams price here in CT are like R 400. The kit with projectors and error canceller was +- R1000.00. R 600 difference from what Ive seen in my buddys car that has the Osrams is absolutely worth it.

R150 a set @Diesel Electric (021) 551 2235

I see the osram link gives H7 for the e36 low and high beam , mine takes H1 !
I had a set of the original Nightbreaker and they are brighter than generic halogen globes . I fitted low and high beam with cool blue and like the white light . Next is HID for the low beams .

I got the Plus and the difference is noticeable from standard.
Paid R170 locally

Sorry - meant to say. Version I of the Nightbreaker vs. Plus and not OEM against Plus.

I know that's what you meant, just saying what I have, in other words, I think the difference will hardly be noticeable :=):

Would also be curious to know, but was extremely impressed with the difference the standard Nightbreakers made compared to the normal OEM bulbs! So I would like to think that the difference between the standard Nightbreakers and the Plus version is minimal, but depends on where it is different too.

The salesman from Osram was punting more on the longevity of the bulb, rather than the brightness. He said around 10% more light

I hate dealing with idiots. A few weeks ago Midas said they have HB4/9006 Nightbreakers for my E90 fogs. Called today to confirm stock so I can pick them up & the guy says Osram doesn't make in that size. I call Diesel Electric instead, guy says sure, I have stock. I drive all the way there, a different guy tells me they don't have that in Nightbreakers because Osram doesn't make in that size. WTF? I checked the link Abmi posted, they clearly make HB4 bulbs in Nightbreaker Plus?

I tried a set of H1 Nightbreakers a while ago and yes they are better than generic H1 bulbs . I prefer the cool blue for the whiter light . I think I should try nightbreakers plus for brights and see the difference .
Longevity....cool blue were bad at a time , got 4/6 months on some bulbs .

Agree - I had the cool blue H11's in my E46 and I went through 3 bulbs failing at different sides within a years time.
