Usually when you goto a pannel beater they take down the paint code and name, and they have a system that tells them what colours make up that colour, it will tell them what paint colours and how many grams/kg of each colour need to be mixed to give you that colour.
so if somone tells you only bmw sells AVUS blue they are talking out there crack, every and any colour can be made up. The final look of the paint however depends on

Mate, do yourself a favour and go to Dent Magic at Tygervalley Centre.
They will match it for a quarter of the price of what BMW will charge you - Chat to Andre or Bruce and tell them Mike from BMW Fanatics referred you. :thumbs:

imp:I was told by some trusty panel beater friends of mine that you cant just have paint mixed anymore because its all waterbased, so even if you get touch up paint, it wont stay on because there is no sealer/clearcoat to keep it there.
Dont know how true that is, but like I said, it came from people I know and trust.

They give you clearcoat in a seperate container Cois, you then add that once the paint has dried... Then a very gentle polish to smooth it out a bit and a layer of wax. :thumbs:
