Hi Guys.

So my 100 000km service is coming up in 5000km time and i know my car definitely needs new discs and Pads

Went to Forsdicks on Tuesday to get a genral quote on a service as m/plan ended in June last year.

Discs = R2800
Pads= R1500
R4300 +-

plus service of oil and filters etc will be about R2200-R3500

So i thought stuff that , went to topend racing and got a quote on the EBC discs and pads for R3800.
Also then got a quote on a set of Powerbrakes (as iv used them before on my previous car) they awesome , so got them instead of the EBC as the service for EBC i kept on waiting and waiting for them to order,nothing happened.

Total for the slotted discs GT series and Mintex Pads = R2998

Will post a pic when they fitted

:thumbs:

I have the GT4 (iirc) series discs with GT2 pads. I was advised by Powerbrake to get this setup instead of Mintex pads as i mentioned i will use for occasional track days. GT4 + Mintex would for normal driving.

Maybe try upgrade the Pads to the next best?

I paid R3400 for the combo.

I had ebc slotted disks and yellow stuff pads on my E36 , they worked extremely well. :thumbs:

Just a word of advice when buying pads , check the temperature they operate at because there's nothing worse then puttin on a new brake and pad combo on your car and there is no 'bite' first thing in the morning when you are on your way to work...
