Hi Guys.
I went to Autoquip today,i have always had a drop on my cars and thought i wonder if a drop would work on my 116i being on 205/55/16 tyres and all.

Basically its lowering springs made up for the 1 series and its a 30/25mm so therefore not LOW as in these Citi Golofs with tyres rubbing the arches.

What your thoughts on this kit?

I have a good connection with the guys at Tygervalley Autoquip and they ordered me a kit , should be here 10th july.

Kit +fitment+ alignment = R3600

Awesome price i think!:=)::=):

Havent got them yet,but they R3880 at the moment

will do the shock in September

1st Eibach
2nd K&N filter
3rd Gloss blacking the 16" rims (dont feel like spending a fortune on the 17" RFT tyres)
4th will be the shocks

Your tyre profile and width makes significant difference to the handling. Trust me! I would definately consider going up on the 16s especially if they're stock.

something wrong with that price on the Koni... is that the cost on some website excluding shipping and duties?

That the price the guy quoted me. Its a specials price running June/July

I have the stock 16" rims 205/55/16 RFT
Im quite happy now with these bridgestone er300's i found a good deal on 17" BMW RFT tyres and rims for 8k on gumtree, but id rather keep what ive got for now and get lower profiles later.

eibachs is good kit. have lowering springs on my focus ST and am very happy. ride is still comfortable and no problems with speed bumps. That said, if I had known moranor when I bought them I would rather support him as his prices are competitive and his service and response on questions is good.

Ok this was the standard suspension with the standard 16" on:
mycar-1.jpg

Now with the standard springs and 17" M sport rims:
newrims-1.jpg

Now with 17" M rims and Eibach 30/25mm:
(Car is very Dirty)
Eibachkit.jpg

NOTE: The eibach springs will set lower once a maximum of 500km has been driven .

My Verdict is EXCELLENT Ride!! Its not hard at all even with the lower profiles and the 225's at the back are like glue on the road!Car is pretty low , but no problems YET over speedbumps.:bravo:

I will post better pics once the rain in CT has stopped
