Thanks guys for the input. Yes I'm taking the car, and cant wait to take delivery.

Its a white M/Sport 125i Lci

Any pics of a suitable 19" rim to go with a white car? The 1M and CSL reps look nice, but its been done on a alot of 1series. I might do some CF wrap on the front bumper corners, to create that corner splitter look, mirror covers and a performance spoiler at the rear and some black grilles. Ideally some grey rims will be nice for contrast.

Step down I think, 1 is a nice car but not as comfortable and from what I have seen from friends who own them, quite thirsty. Not same feel as a three :thumbdo:

Thanks Divio, all except the 1st one and the green stripe rim look great..........the 313s are great, but I'm looking for something with a bit of concavity at the rear.

What offsets will work on the 1Coupe?

Saw at set of CSL reps for R6K, but the rear offset is ET20. Not sure if that will work.

I'd like to keep the OEM look, but with some CF touches to create some contrast on the white car. Like this below:-

Hi ash,

1er needs much higher offset, stock is ET37 in the rear and ET45 in the front. Mine are ET37 all round but still fits like a glove. Good thinkin on the wrap to give the carbon splitter look... Won't regret it, while your at it do your mirrors as well. :)

Oh and congrats :bravo:

Hi Pacman69

Wow, your car looks brilliant, are those rims straight of the F30 or reps? The fit looks fantastic.

I'm tempted to go the same route as well..............:praise:

Thanks for the feedback, however, I've always owned a 3series, and to me the car has grown too big in size, to be considered sporty & was looking for something else. Make no mistake they are fast and fantastic vehicles, but some of the old feel you get with the E30/E36/E46 generation has gone, its just a feel for the car, and what it does in the corners. You get the feeling like its becoming more and more a family orientated car, rather than the compact sports saloon it started out being.

That said I drove the 1series coupe, and it was exactly what I was looking for, that nimbleness through the corners etc. I did some reading up on the vehicle and alot of journalists commend it for its handling feel, driving experiance etc, therefore just backed up what I experianced in the test drive I had. I always loved the looks as it brought back memories of the 2door E30, although pumped up. I can live with the lack of features and space compared to the 325i, as I have no kids yet, so its just the 2 of us. The car only sees 2 robots daily, so not much stop start driving, so on the open road, we'll expect decent fuel consumption vs the 325i. One must also realise the 1ser coupe has a smaller fuel tank, so the perception of the car being heavy on fuel, must also be related to the size of the fuel tank.

Also with my 325i being close to 150 000kms and a 2007, I am happy to have found a decent looking 2011 car, with a good chunk of motorplan left, and dont see it as a step down as the car is newer & with lower maintenance costs. It has been a challenge to find what I wanted but glad I waited. The plan is to own a 2series in the future, as I really like it, so this is a small step to that, as the 325i will be too old in 2years time.
