i see you have the same problem like me with the steering wheel :D
nice pics tho!

Have a few cans of Plasti-Dip ready to tackle those areas...

In between the weekend detailing/wifey & 2 kids, just need to make the time to remove the steering insert and re-spray!

nice pics bro, when are we meeting up for a photoshoot? and to see the new 3 in the flesh?

She's going to the body shop on Monday (25 July) to have a few blemishes sorted out (All at the dealerships expense - they had the boot lid resprayed and whoever did it c*cked it up!!!)

They've promised a BMW approved finish.

My comment to that was: "if its not passed by BMW, i cancel the deal"

Shiny steering wheel, is a sign of high mileage, but with only 70 k odd, the BMW interior don't wear too well...

I dont know about that huh? i tend to disagree a lil with you cause mine is still dull like it is still new and so are the other leather bits also. i think honestly, it depends on who used them and how wrt to care etc etc. i did see on the bimmerpost forum where a guy bought a second hand BMW, sterring looked the same or actually much worse. after a good 3 step clean with some detailing products (which i cant remember unfortunately) the steeering wheel came out like brand new, apparently, the most grub was caught in that leather that gave that look was possibly hand lotion, powder, lipstick...yeah you know what happened then ha ha! i have also seen many E90 sprot steering wheels very shiny with low mileage and some with high mileage and a dull steering.

but that jsut my opinion, not bashing your comment or anything bud:thumbs:

*Update*
Car picked up and sitting at Danmar Motors Wynberg to get the first sprayjob fixed :flyfun: Yes... FIXED!

On purchasing the vehicle i had asked that a few chips and scratches on the bootlid be 'touched-up'.
The dealership thought they'd go the extra mile and proceeded to have the bootlid resprayed and "blended into the rest of the bodywork"...

Unbeknownst to me, it was done around the corner from them by Oom Jan wif a spraybooth and paints...

That's why it's now at Danmar and thats why i'm gatvol and that's why i'm ready to get RMI, MIO and my bank involved should it not be up to BMW Standards.

Anyone had dealings with Danmar?

Actually i removed the steering insert last weekend (all documented with pix to follow!)
Completely removed the rubber coating and polished to a shine... still playing with the idea of giving it a coat of matte black plasti-dip though!
