Was still working yesterday on the old unit.Temp reading on old one was fine, the screen was cracked on the part that shows the time and date.Where would the temp probe sit?And how can i test to see if it has gone faulty?

Thanks

If I am not mistaken the temp probe is located somewhere near the front bumper, I would think that the probe is either broken or not properly connected, having the codes read would be the best way to determine the source of the problem.

Just a question But are you sure thats in Centigrade not in Farinheit???
Reason I ask is I can pres the button on the left (set Clock) when it is on tempreture and it will switch between F and C?

Just that when My car does not want to go the first thing I check is Petrol. :):excited::excited:

bought i new sensor from the dealer for R315- for my E36 M.
plugs it in- made sure it was solid and rattle free and bingo it was perfect.
its located in the brake duct on the passenger side. easy to locate and replace.
if it reads -37 then there is no sensor or signal from sensor.
