Okay, Forsdicks Tygervalley has messed up, Big Time...

So my Wife's car went in for a regular oil service today - and guess what?!

It has come back in worse condition than it was before I took it in for the service - how can this be the case twice in a row?! And, to add absolute insult to injury, just like with my car, did they stamp the service book?!? No!

I think one (or more) of the coil packs have gone, or not sure what else, but on the way home the engine starts idling rough and at lower revs, then it gets worse and it sounds like it's missing. Of course all of this happens an hour ago when the dealership has just closed.

Now tomorrow I am going to throw my toys out in a BIG way! They had a 1M parked there - at this stage, even if they gave that to me as compensation for these experiences I would tell them to get stuffed - what's the point if they are going to have to service that car then?!

Maybe a stupid question, but are there any, even just one, dealers that are able to do a decent job without being useless!?!?

This past month and a half has been my worst motoring experience in my 15 years of owning cars!! Never had this retarded incompetence when I owned Corolla's and Isuzu's...

I LOVE BMW - just seriously sucks that the agents are letting the brand down so much! :argh: :argh:

I fully agree, they just cannot get it right first time!!

My service experience from FORD is 200% beter than from BMW.

Cheers

Last good experience was with Donford in Stellies.

I too love the brand, but I am also going to sample newer offerings from Merc and Audi before I try another BMW.

I was chatting to a work colegue about his Audi experience and although far from perfect, he always "eventually" managed to get stuff sorted.

I am now going into month EIGHT waiting on parts on order from Germany through BMWSA

Shit Rick. 8 months, did they loose the plans and have to redesign the components for scratch. Actually maybe if the did that you would have had it by now :nonono:

Once my car is sold (hopefully tomorrow), it will be the last BMW I'll own in a while. Not because I have had bad service or anything, just that I won't be able to afford one for a while when Im overseas.

Ja, I do realise that mistakes can be made, but what really annoys me is that I spoke to the same guy when booking the car in that I did when SMG stuffed up last month. So he knows what I experienced with my car and so thought that with this in mind he would make the effort to ensure that the work is done properly by end of the day. Even my name on the job card is totally misspelt - actually misspelt would mean that it is close, actually a completely different name! Maybe I should have paid Audi for the job! And I did correct them when I dropped the car off yesterday - maybe not important enough to make sure that all the "i's" are dotted and "t's" crossed! Pathetic in my view!

These days it seems that failing is becoming the accepted experience to such a degree that it will be considered a fail when some is accidentally done successfully! :nonono:

So let's see what happens tomorrow - oh, and this car's entire service history seems to have been at the same agent, poor car!!!!! :bangdesk:

Damn that sucks , last good service I got from BMW is from Solly Mohamed at Leo Haese , if you friendly to him , and your car's still on motorplan he will sort you out perfectly . Maybe because my dad has been buying cars through him since 1992 . But I still recommend him

Can I bring the e34 540i-6 speed and show them what happens when you drop the clutch when revving against the rev limiter ? After filling their workshop with smoke a few opened tins of pilchards to be distributed and then Coisman to sort them out :roflol:

Guys we need to get active and collectively e-mail the dealer and BmwSA and make a noise .

Do these agents work for other car dealers and get commission by chasing customers to other brands ?

Maybe they are doing a book, "how to destroy a brand in 30 seconds" a self help publication

+1!

Thing is, I wouldn't want you to risk your 540i by taking her near these guys - might be something contagious!! :fencelook:

But I like the idea of getting Coisman and the cans of pilchards to sort them out!

That is the very reason I turned to DIY. I cannot even start to imagine how you must feel. I am no expert, but with basic tools you can achive alot. Good luck in getting them sorted out Philip.
