Why are you even suspecting an intake backfire at all?

Like I said I didn't hear a backfire, just a thud from the pipe coming loose and hitting the engine bay wall and a simultaneous loss in power, loss in throttle response followed by the error message....

The thud sound you heard was the sound if the pipe breaking and the release of pressure. Would not have been a backfire. :coolShake:

Can be a scary sound, I remember having a similar on my Leon Cupra. Thought the engine broke. :rollsmile:
