Oil Level Sensor issues

I have a 2007 X5 with 4.8i (N62). I recently bought and it had a oil level sensor fault. Replaced sensor with a used 7567723 sensor. This part was revised to part 7607910. I am assuming this part works if it was a revision but please let me know. A few odd things no check engine light and both sensors I had in shows oil at minimal level but fault? It shows fault as oil sensor fault? I erased all codes and they came back.
code 2EBC-message from oil sensor missing
code 2EAO-oil status sensor

I am at a loss, Maybe wiring harness plug? Not sure where it plugs into. Anyone have an idea, new alternator and battery recently all registered correctly and AGM battery. Please any suggestions??

The oil level sensor works with a BSD line which lets it talk to the DME etc. Make sure that the pins on the plug on the sensor is making contact and that the wires is intact.

Thank you so much for your reply. Does this connector plug into another connector somewhere in the engine compartment or does it hard wire into DME? Im thinking the wire is bad or the sensor again. Im hoping its a plug and play. One last thing, it was my error, the oil sensor is part 7607910 that shows for my 4.8 n62 motor and it was a revision/replacement for sensor 7567723. I bought the 7567723 unit. Could this be the issue or are these interchangeable? Thank you so much!!

Hello,

Turns out the Oil level sensor is fine. I replaced the alternator earlier and the fault went away when i unplugged the connection on the Alternator. I assume I got a bad alternator not putting out correct signal. The ebox fault went away too so assume IBS, oil sensor,e box fan and alternator are on same line. Anyway thank you for getting me to look at all connections!!
