oil for 2008 E90 320d (pre LCI)

Good morning

What is the "approved" or best oil to use on my car? Did a check over the weekend and its getting pretty close to the minimum level

Pretty sure liquimoly is approved. My mech has the approval list of which oils are approved. Maybe moranor knows.

But you're going to get 10 different answers on which oil is the best. For me it's liquimoly.

Get your oil from BMW. Its not expensive.

Last i checked it was ±R80 for a litre at the dealership....

You really shouldnt let your oil level drop so low :thumbs:

On Monday morning popped in at the local BMW agent to top up the E90 under motorplan. They said no, just first fill up under MP, thats it. So had to buy a litre of oil from stealers. Price was R150 !!!! but got it for R120!!! Last time i bought oil from them it was about R80/l Looks like the same stuff to me 5w30 Castrol Edge.
