Oil change service cost?

Hi guys

Just want a heads up on a ballpark figure BMW charges for an oil service (including filter etc)

This will be my first service out of MP so just curious.

6 cylinder or 4?
They sometimes run specials starting from about R1000 - thats oil and oil filter

Its a 320D. cool thanks. I booked it in a JSN like i always do but i haven't seen anything on BMW about oil service specials currently running.

Service cost me R2800 including brake fluid flush. A bit more then i was hoping for. Oil, filters and brake Fluid.

The oil alone was almost 2k. Anyone know what oil they use?

LL04 oil as per your manual...
And yes, that was an expensive service.

R2000 for oil is a bit crazy. Thats R363 per L, assuming they use 5.5L. Wonder what they use, liquid diamonds?

at least that means the labour is not too bad.

Yip especially after i saw the oil special here on the forum. but i will know for next time.

Another question, the next service interval is set to 12k, the last interval was the same. Just out of curiosity, why 12 instead of normal 15? Looking at my service record, my oil changes are always long before 15k.

My e92 does the same. Sometimes 10k, sometimes 15k, after the last service it shows 25k.

Not a f**k I'm gonna wait that long tho. I usually do it in 10k intervals or 1yr.

Also do 10k intervals. Seems like they over charged you, paid R420 for oil from BMW the other day for 5 liters.

I had a look at my invoice.

oil = 768
filter = 270

Micro-filter service = 490

Brake fluid service = 439

there are some other odds and ends charges etc

Oil used was LL04 5W 30 shell

I was charged R1k for an oil service, inc filters etc ( f30 petrol )
