So Ian, owner of ODI just phoned me extending an apology for the PA system that blew, and this created more confusion as everyones times could not be announced etc.

He was very apologetic and asked that we attend future events assuring us everything will run smooth in future.

I dont know, I will attend again, the track was ok, and the 1km is great...theres a clear lack of organizing...I still had a fun day out.

It was the diesel fumes that confused them. :fencelook:

Hi all

Was great seeing all those nice BMW's at ODI yesterday, well represented guys.

Well I am one of the ZOOM ZOOM guys & Mazda Forum Admin.

I also talked to Rachel today

First off - I do agree with many people that yesterday was not the most successful event in ODI times and that maybe certain things could have been handled or sorted out.

Well my point on this is that ODI is a good place to have a fun day out burn some rubber and hit some top speed with boost vibes lol

The cost towards the day is not that bad for what your get to do and what is provided but does feel sh8t when all fails like timing announcements ect ect.

In the couple of times that I attended ODI I had fun with good results - no event will always be perfect remember and we go out to have fun enjoy and race our / racecars :)

But she also apologized to me regarding the upsets towards yesterdays event and explained that certain things just went wrong one after the other - generator died ~ amp went bye bye ~ normal announcement people and time keeps were not present this = to a day filled with problems.

But I am sure with all the feedback negative or positive they can get their goods in order and make sure that next time and event like this goes down without any problems.

But anyway was great seeing all you guys represent and some hot looking rides you guys have.

Hope to see you all at ODI or some other events.

Nice to get feedback from the other guys attending as well. I wasnt too phased at the location, and can only hope that future events have less issues. There was some impressive cars from your side.

;) lol

I dont recall mps doing that speed might be wrong but will wait for official results

I did hear the one run of wiek who drives blue mps with black rx8 mags which did 234km/h on kilo

I know that 911 GT did in 250's

Some of the guys might pull in on tarlton on the 7th
But hear they talking about kyalami heads up on this saturday.

Some of the bmw guys had good runs and some nice burn outs :)

Nice one Brett! Thanks for those shots!

That one mazda doing 234 is truly fast. I don't think there was a fanatic bmw that beat that. Aside from that other M5 that just decimated everyone. What did sleeper do?

Nope UpNcOmiNg - I drive the Blue mk2 with MPS vinyls on the doors. :)

I only did 209km/h on 1km, don't know what my second run time was.

Hi Guys, was great seeing all the fanatics representing. I will tell you a lot of okes took note and very impressed with your cars. 1M looks tops and the sound of that M5. WOW. Some very good times on the 1Km and 400M.
Well done gents.

It was my first time out with the newly found power on my MPS and keep stuffing up 3rd gear. If I don't grate it I miss it :roflol: but managed a 234km/h and hopefully on a clean run can manage more. I only raced 1 BMW. It was a white 135 with semi's. Your car moves bud. He edged me from the line (FWD fail) and I stuffed up 3rd again. Seemed to me I was reeling him in though but it was already game over. Your car moves, welldone

234 is hellishly quick, congrats man! Must have some pretty mods running around under the hood.
