Ok so there is no control unit available in this country yet & I doubt there ever will be due to the fuel required. I know the owner of this car & we have been to ODI with him a few times. What point are you trying to make?

You said that ac schnitzer claims zero increase in power
This is contrary to what I have read

It doesnt smoke often , maybe once or twice a week a little while after boosting, or am I risking turbo failure/worse.
Maybe I should start the E36 M and come and get whipped.

Fanatics, Nice meeting some of you. Thanks for the Gazebo, cooling mist sprays on our intercoolers and faces ,
Oh and the halaal pizza, Arbee .
The heat, heatsoak & sunburn was too bad resulting in the lower speeds and times.
I am happy with the 181km/h (quarter mile) and 237km/h(1km) considering my turbos are not boosting right and on their way out.

Sherwin@xcede said:They have a chip unit that takes the power up to 375kw, but not certified for South Africa yet. It's a piggyback unit along the lines of JB and it requires 98-102 RON as stated on their website:
Sherwin@xcede said:Hi there, the ACS software requires a minimum of 98 RON as stated on their website. So it's not officially available for this country yet.
Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if they offer a slightly detuned version for 95RON soon.

I can't tell you what actual power gains are of the Schnitzer M4 software but I've driven one (both before and after the software upgrade) and my butt dyno tells me that the gains are impressive. I think JSN claims about 65kw and 110nm. Anyone interested in the upgrade should call Shaun at JSN for the details. What's nice about the upgrade is that to help with traction issues, the added power is introduced incrementally through the gears so that you'll only see the full power gain from 3rd gear onward

are the claiming 65wkw or flywheel power?
