As a suggestion, It Depends if you know what you're doing.
My car was giving problem So I ended up looking into buying obd2 tools also.
At first I bought a "kit" that had a cable that supports INPA and the software that BMW used. I thought it was a good idea till I had it setup and plugged in. Turns out it's not that simple. The software could allow me basically change anything I want. Not knowing what is what I was doing at all told I should just leave everything alone as I could risk wiping my entire ecu out. So basically it's just sitting in a cupboard.
Due to being scared of using the above one, I forked out more money and bought a generic Bluetooth type. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth one is are Very basic And pulls generic faults. A bit silly Cause then you need auto data to find what the codes are.
Functions are Very limited.
So in conclusion, you will need to decided if you want something powerful or basic? Will you be able to not break anything if you buy the powerful one?
Or if you have money to spend, buy both. Haha!
P.s might decided to sell mine, because in genuinely scared to use it.
