Hi All, any good recommendations OBD tuning companies in Durban?
Thinking of remapping my 325i
It's not worth tuning a 325i. You won't see great gains. My opinion.

Step 1: Sell the petrol.
Step 2: Buy a diesel.
Step 3: Move to Joburg or visit for an extended holiday...
Step4: Use OBDWorx aka Gert :)

Tuner claims he can get 28kws more, 35nm torque with better throttle response just with software remap. That would be basically a 325i tuned to 330i I assume. I know they say the N52 are hard to tune but what about the N53

Your thoughts?

Those claims are very optimistic for a non turbo car.

Ask him if you can dyno your car before and after.

Those gains are only realistic on the detuned version N52B30 motor (like in 125i Coupé) which is labeled 25i but is a 3.0 litre.

The E90/2 325i is a N52B25 which is a 2.5 litre, so in that state it is pretty much maxed out.

I am not sure who you can go to, but think there is a stealth in durban? The claims the tuner made are extremely optimistic and you will nowhere near get those gains to be honest. The ecu is very easy to tune. But your gains will be not more than 10% but more likely 5%.

In my honest opinion you not going to get those figures.
The money you going to spend wont be worth the gains. Rather spend the money on maintenance/preventative maintenance.

Thanks for the replies guys. Will keep on posting. But I thought the 2009 model came with the N53B30U0 engine. Aint that the 3.0L engine?

We did not get that model in SA in the E90. We only got the N52B25 in the E9x 325i
