I noticed my outside temp is -37 deg and when i looked at my sensor i see that it has been ripped off.

Wil this effect the cars performance? Feels as if Im driving a 1.4 now

Just replace the sensor, or if the sensor is still present, wire it back again, its only two wires after all
I see your signature shows a picture of an E36, sensor fitted in the brake cooling duct, lower left hand front side

not a guru, but I am sure that the ECU uses data from the OAT to determine certain functions.

I ripped out the underside on the E39 about 2 weeks ago, due to a curb stone-edge that was a few millimetres too high...drove home with -40 DegC

fixed/repaired etc immediately, as I didn't want to take a chance, that certain ECU functions might be affected.

Its only for OBC, nothing more. Your 1.4 issue lies somewhere else.

so I learn something.....When I ripped out my underbody, I didn't want to take a chance

This is on the e36

Car went in for a respray and the front had been stripped. It was parked off for more than a month. Not sure if the battery dieing or something hasnt been put back properly is causing the power issue.

All i see is 2 plugs that hasnt been plugged in

Did the car go to a reputable body shop, sounds like some of the parts on your car have been "replaced".

think i need to put it on the machine to read there errors then i would be able to determine if something is faulty or parts have been taken out.

Also have a chip, not sure if that could have went faulty when the battery died
