3D DESIGN WORKS THEIR MAGIC ON AN M LITE
Most are already familiar with 3D Design, but if you're not, the Japanese tuning company offers up some of the most high quality and comprehensive exterior, interior & overall performance tuning kits in the BMW sphere (which now includes Mini & the A90 Supra as well).
The M Lite chosen for their treatment is the M440i Gran Coupe. A great looking car, if you can see past the stock front fascia. On to some of the most beautiful lines - that simply put, can only be found on a GC.
These updates, however miniscule they may seem, all come together to make the stock M440i look a lot more striking!
The kit consists of:
A 3pc front lip, which visually lowers the front end and gives it more aggressiveness, blacked-out front grills, all new side skirts and fender gills. And for the rear, a combination of a more aggressive diffuser, boot spoiler and quad exhaust make it far sportier than before!
The interior also gets some minor changes in the form of aluminum foot pedals and updated carbon fibre paddle shifters.
Lastly, 3D Design finishes off the aesthetics with a beautiful set of 20" forged wheels, which in my opinion, ooze form + function.
On the performance side of things:
3D Design has gone for a more minimalist approach - A lowering kit to get the stance in check, their own full-length exhaust system with quad carbon fibre tips. And finally, a mild tune which bumps the power up to 437 horses - almost 55hp more, over stock.
I'll be the first to admit when the new 4er was released, it didn't strike me as "beautiful". Till now, I kinda think its more angry, than pretty.
But I have to say, after seeing the changes this 3D Design kit has made to the overall look of the 4er, its a winner in my book!
