I was once told by a BMW "aficionado" that a 333i never existed and it was just a 325iS EVOII that had had its pistons bored out to 3.0l and was quicker than a German spec E36 M3....... and then I told him I owned a 333i and he left shortly after.... hmmmmm,come to think of it,that was also at a braai :roflol:
Those are the guys that are always the smart asses in crowd who think they know everything. Just cos you stick an ///M badge on your 318i does not automatically boost it by 200kw.....
In fact,I challenge whoever has the fastest car on this forum to a race against my Land Rover Freeland 2.0TDi (it isn't running, but it's got a turbo, so I should win anyway....)

Many years back , i remember chatting to someone that Unichiped his E36 323i , and reckons it is now a 328i spec, his exact words was "Bmw doesnt do that at factory because they will loose sales on the 328" :roflol::roflol: OMG these people are still around

I enjoy okes like that, keep you entertained. Name dropping is another big one :rollsmile:
I dropped my Cupra off a VW once and Andz was gonna fetch me. Andz had his G6 K04 GTi at that time and it was really quick. They were only 2 K04 G6 GTi's in SA then, Andz and one in dbn.
So I'm at the dealership waiting outside and this oke starts a conversation asking about the Cupra and what mods etc. Then he starts telling about his Friends G6 GTi that has a K04 and is very fast. His friends name is Andz. So I play along as I dont know about this car.
He tells me that if I want he can arrange a race with Andz cause they are good buddies and I can see how a K04 car is supposed to run.
While chatting Andz rock ups and comes to us. So its me, this oke and Andz.
Andz greets him like you would someone you have never met. I go like "THis is my bra Andz, he has a G6 K04 GTi, Its really fast, You wanna race him ?"
The look on his face was priceless.
I tell Andz the story while leaving VW and he was :roflol:

His Then VW Jetta VR6 was tuned by some SUPER DUPER TUNER who only worked on expensive cars with owners that have open cheque books.
Till I game him a hiding with my 320 e30 with some internal 325 parts.. shut him up fast....

I was at a braai where this guy,worked for Kia, had a Kia Koup for the weekend,and he was bragging about how fast this NA 2.0 115kw car was and that he was going around chomping guys in GTi's,OPC's and Meganes and that he had diced a guy in a E92 M3 and given him a hiding.... so I just smiled sweetly, he asked what I had,so I just said a little Audi A4,nothing special. So he pressed me and pressed me until I told him it was an RS4,his eyes were like saucers (cos he realised that I knew he was talking kak) and he kept his mouth shut the rest of the night.....

This one bloke was telling us how he lost control in his suped up mk3 golof.
Apparently he came round a bend too fast and ended up drifting, But he drifted into a curb and messed up his car.
So when I asked what broke? he said "my 2 rims and the chassis belt and that's why my car is skew now.."... uhm...
See the thing is, we ALL know someone like this :biglol:
