man I miss this car... I had a 140 and to me one of the best BMW products in recent history in terms of value.. well before the prices went crazy.. owned mine for 5 years and sold it for 50k more than I bought it... she is keeper! followed her with a M2C and its a brilliant car, but this I miss.... the M2C isn't as good an all rounder as the 140i in my opinion
Honestly bro, the 140 is a very underrated car.
When they first launched, there wasn't really much hype about them since they aren't full fat M Cars. And even when it came to rivals like the A45 and Golf R, it was incredibly underrated. Its only if you own one that you know how amazing these cars really are.
I mean, an M2C is awesome don't get me wrong, I was looking at one eventually. But the B58 has my heart over the S55. These 140's will be worth something in the future to come. In fact, value has already held really well. High spec M140i's like my car are still priced above used later F40 M135i's, that's how sought after they've become. Even the police spec ones with barely any extras are still in the R500k range. Definitely plan to hold onto this car long term wise, especially since I know I'll never find a spec like this again.
