Hi,
I've been wanting a "toy" for a long time now, something fun to drive enthausiaticaly. After a few test drives and viewings of various different cars within my budget (not all BMW), this one stood out well above the rest.
E36 328i
1998 model
Auto with sport mode
Cream leather interior
Boston Green metallic paint
229000kms
I love the green/cream combo. Had a 330i in the same combo that I really miss, so this is slightly nostalgic. I must say the e36 auto box is better then I thought it would be, especially sport mode, it also has the snow/slippery condition setting. I have thought about a manual conversion, but I am not sure and this wouldn't be anytime soon. The car is 100% stock except for the e90 wheels. Good overall condition , engine sounds amazing and pulls nicely, suspension feels pretty good and is fun to drive, I just don't like the 205 run flats the previous owner put on.....on a side note the seats are in really good condition. Very happy with the car. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with it.
Some ideas for the future may be:
-nice wheels/tyres
- Koni/H&R combo
-refresh suspension
-upgrade brakes (either good disks, pads, SS hoses, or bigger from another car)
-Sway bars
-M3 Diff
-K&N drop in filter
-M3 headers and exhaust (of custom exhaust)
-black seats
-manual conversion (maybe)
-maybe Stroker
How do these autos hold up on track days?
Thanks
