review Nick - Back in a BMW (f15 30d)

Hi guys- long time.
After 6 and a bit years in GWM products, im back in a Beemer.

I NEVER thought id even be an x5 guy, but now that im older its works hehe.

Booted up Auto trader the other day after learning that the H6's service plan had expired after i had it in for the 60k , just looking at what was floating around, i had been looking for an F10 or X3 for a while but had not found anything that worked for me.

This X5 popped up and i made contact with Jaecoo Bedford to try and get a test drive - i had never driven an x5 at the time.
30mins passed and a sales guy called me to arrange that he come see me, he brought the car to my office and left me look it over, we took a drive and i fell in love.
Paper work went in and 12 hours later a collection date was set ( 26th june at 12).

They gave me a decent trade on the h6, i took it a ran for the hills. i have nothing bad to say about the H6 or GWM, they have been amazing in the time iv had to use them but i dont want to have the product after warranty or lose to much money on resale.

SO im taking the leap back to the brand i love, taking on the DIY/aftermarket repairs and up keep once again.

Ill post some more pics when i collect her and document the journey here.

1st weekend with the f15, its a tank of the thing.

The 30d has such a controled torque band, feels solid on the road and makes you feel like everyone else is in your way.
Within the 1st few KM's someone in a small hatch back flipped me off so now i feel like the BMW owner again.

I still need to get some decent pics of the car.

She will go back to LD bedford later this week to have a suspension squeak looked at and possibly some new brake pads - they are making a noise too- like they are one the wear limit.
Kinda disappointed - but they didnt drive the car to much to hear these things, so for a 12 year old car im taking these things as a win, could have been worse...


EVERYTHING works on the car, 2 spare keys and new RFT's.

Things to do.

Get a Spacesaver spare and a jack- for my peace of mind.
EGR Delete
get a towbar.
black out some of the chrome.
