Hi Guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I have had an 325i E36 up to 2004 and then went 4X4 for a couple of years. Just gone back to BMW 520D F10.

Have been enjoying driving her the last couple of weeks

I am gobsmacked to see how light this diesel motor is. Drove her from CPT to EL which is just over 1000km. Used the same amount of fuel as my wife 1.2 Polo TSI.

BMW has definitely got the combination right on this motor and gearbox.

They are so fuel efficient on a long trip I would get 1400km out of a fuel tank, mapping the car helped the fuel economy alot, got it done by RK Motion

That is maybe in the future. I am currently still relishing the saving. Used to get 7.5km/lt on 4x4 maybe 8.0 on a good day.
