cool forum. i've always been a bmw fan..
so im finally buying myself a 2002 bmw m3 (smg):inlove:
i've heard that the smg gearbox isnt very reliable. how true is this?

Hey mo,

welcome! As for the smg stories, I've heard of guys with not a single problem at all and absolute horror stories from others. Just take good care(Let the oils warm up, don't sit on the accelerator in traffic etc) and don't leave 11's after every pull off :rollsmile:

Also, it is now COMPULSORY to change the back box and air intake to make that baby sing! :biglol::thumbs:
