Another young update

Got tired of driving with a slightly worn out steering so took the opportunity to get another clean steering wheel and gave the trim and surround on the start button a refreshing

Car was listed for sale but removed due to people talking about trade value vs sale value

Will post up at a later stage once I feel the car has more value

Some more small updates on the little 20d now called "Phat Amy"

Add some gloss black front splitters from Corsair customs... love the look change made me fall in love all over again...

Did a trade off for with some Koni shocks and lowering springs for a set of 18inch BBS LM wheels took me a few nights to refurb them and make up new centre caps but came out decent for a diy job... fitted the wheels... and boy oh boy am I happy... would have loved some 19s but in time... added some blue and gold BBS centre caps and I'm happy for now...

Need to play around with the fitment to get it on point but all in good time...

Busy with same interior changes... and still working on a sound installation but I need more power now so next on the list would be software and a much needed headlight bulb upgrade to some leds... give it a more cleaner look

Until the next update... stay tuned

So with the audio

I upgrade the radio with a bmw professional with Bluetooth and usb, then retro fitted an oem USB cable to the center console with the new ubs/aux port. Works like a charm no coding need and the PDC gong is different, also noticed that the PDC will beep according to the side the obstacles are.

I fitted new wheels

Finally During lock down I got a chance to change my wheels. My wheel of choice was a set of style 350M wheels from the bmw F10. Had to make up a set of hubcentric spacers for the rears but they fit perfect.

Performance wise I finally got around to doing the downpipe in the car and still no software. But I have purchased a set of 335i from brakes to fill the gaps of the new wheels will upload pics once fitted. Still need to purchase new discs for it but soon.

Had a small snag with a coolant leak and after some research and talking to feel members discovered it was the dreaded water pipe on the side of the head under the intake. Bought the new pipe and gaskets from super tech Durban and got it fitted in Johannesburg. Everything seems to be good no leaks but still monitor the car just to be sure.

Next on the list is new tyres and either software or front brake upgrade to be completed lol same price as the black Friday specials

Cheers gents loving every moment with the car hopefully next year will be time to upgrade

What spacers do you have here? I plan to go with style 350 rims and 15mm spacers on the rear

@VernyMac what kind spacers did you used on your style 350 setup?
Howsit bud sorry for the late reply,

I had a set of 15mm for the rears and the fronts fitted like a glove.

Also the tire sizes make a difference as well. My fronts I has 225/40/18 and rears was 245/40/18

F30 - Updates

Purchased an F30 320i a few months after the sales of the E90...

Love the specs on the car but they def not built in the same quality and also the car isnt yet up to my spec of clean etc... all in due time though...

Car is Msport
Xenons
HK sound
Rear door Blinds
Front and rear PCD
After market mods

Front splitters
Dual Slat grills with the bars behind it
Slim color matched boot spoiler
Blue start stop button
LEDs in fogs
Full exhaust system

Still need to do coilovers and some BBS wheels lol I love my BBS...

Here some pics of the cars.. to be honest I really do miss my E90... was a brilliant car to drive.

So The " Problem" is due for service... been looking at the different pricing and options for service kits... Labor will be on me as I prefer to maintain my car on my own to ensure the work is done right and i take full liability should something go wrong.

Found a company called Autotech light who has a service kit for the N20 for R2000.00 below is the breakdown of what the kit consists off.

Bosch Air filter - S0375
Bosch Cabin filter -
Bosch Oil filter - P7175
Bosch plugs - Double Platinum
Motul 5w40 oil - LL01 full synthetic

I have a can of Liquid Moli engine flush as well which will be used prior to oil being drained.

Also in the pipeline is replacement of rear discs again... purchased a pair of discs and pads from Star brake and clutch last year august and they have started to shudder and make a horrible squeak when stopping. So that will be replaced with a good set that also doesnt rust.

Calling BMW today for the steering rack repair kit or replacement part for the annoying piston that fits in the rack, Will need to see if i can get the tool or will buy one.

Coilovers are in the pipe line also due to replacement costs of shocks, Choice would be to go with Airlux coilovers as they are bag friendly and competitive on pricing
