Guys, you don't know the reason for the car being in a ditch. Everyone obviously assumes the owner lost control and ended up in a ditch, but why not chill until you find out for sure

Not trying to be an asshole, but yes... He did lose control, one way or another. I'm sure he didn't intentionally park the car in the ditch.

by the same token, don't moderate posts unless there's a sane, logical reason to do so.

"Thread cleaned, This is a showroom thread lets keep it that way " Is not a sane, logical or fair reason to moderate given the context of the OPs comments regarding the previous owner of the car.

OPs comment, for context, just in-case anyone forgot. Highlighted the appropriate bits since some people suffer from short term memory loss.

"I did some digging into Biofreak's threads on here and on M5Board.com and it seems that he had drag raced and hooned the car to within an inch of its life, eventually broke the diff mount and attempted to weld it back onto the aluminium subframe again."

what's good for the goose... you know how the rest goes.

You clearly have an issue with the mods. I haven't moderated a single post in this thread, just giving my view.
@E63, yes he did lose it. But it is a possibility that it wasn't his fault

I have an issue with the fair and consistent application of moderation policies :)

No one said it was his fault. There were very few rough remarks here. None that warranted a thread cleanup imo.

If you have a problem with the mods, then do your bit to contribute to this society rather than criticize, then become a mod, and make a change.

Good luck.

sorry, but that's the silliest reason ever to moderate a thread.
If it was a showroom thread, it's now a graveyard thread. RIP E39

This is the exact reason why I got banned last time.

Moderators interfering where they shouldn't. What is the point of deleting posts here?
