Hey guys

Just purchased my first BMW 335i today and had an engine warning (reduced power) sign pop up.

So yea, it happens, right?

Age? Mileage? Mods? Anything happen leading up to the engine warning light?

Maybe start by introducing yourself and your beleaguered car - we will then be able to advise possibly.

Welcome to the forum BTW!

Welcome to the forum, please introduce yourself and ride, maybe a pic or 2

There are basically 3 versions of the 335,
E90-E93 with N54 motor
E90-E93 with N55 motor
F30 with N55 motor.

I gather you bought a 2nd hand one as you don't get 335s anymore they are now 340i with a B58 motor.

We're you pushing her really hard when the light came on?

Hi,

I own a 335i Convertible and same thing happened to me. Took my car to Turbo specialists close to me and they found the the turbo vacuum pipes had perrished.

Cost me R900 and my baby is as good as new.

Worth the try to have the vacuum pipes checked out.

Indeed,

Details will be much more helpful.

And No, it does not just happen, there is a reason, lots of reasons, but a reason
