Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum, but I've been a lover of BMWs since I was a kid. I saw a red 325is drive in my area while I was walking to school in the 90s. My dad had a 320i E30 at the time and I couldn't understand why his didn't look and sound as cool, he then told me a bit about the 325is and the superboss. Since then he has had 3 BMWs, and I'm currently on my second. I currently drive an E90 320i. Down on power but still a great vehicle. BTW, how do I add pics to my post?...I've read a few posts where the guys mention rules when posting pictures, but I've never seen the rules so I thought I would ask first.

At the bottom of where you type, there's blue words that say "add picture to post" just outside the box.
Don't worry, a lot of people don't seem to see this.

Congrats on the car, nice ride. A lot of people give E90 320i's some vlak here for being underpowered, but it's all in good fun. Welcome:coolShake:

Welcome to the forum :=):

Below the reply box, as mentioned above, is a link saying "[Add picture to post]". Click it and a pop-up will come up wherein you can search the location of a picture saved on your PC.

You can however only add one pic at a time, and the pic must not be larger than 5mb, otherwise it will just not load anything.

I do enjoy driving the car, and I really take care of it but in truth I need more power:hammerhead:. Currently advertising the vehicle and looking for a clean 135i or 335i. Just depends what the dealers offer on a trade, drove a 135i (N54) manual and a 335i (N54) manual this past weekend, I am seriously hooked. Brilliant cars, and true straight sixes with plenty of power in the highveld. I just keep hearing stories about reliability issues. HPFP, water pump, thermostat, waste gate rattle. Let's see what happens

x35's are amazing. I got hooked when I had one for the festive season last year. Maybe you should consider a 330d (if you fear the N54).

That is a possibility but I've never seen one in manual. The dealer took me for a ride in his 330d after I drove the 135i. He tells me that the car is pushing around 300kW and 900Nm at the flywheel. Not sure if I believe the figures but the car is crazy on the road. His auto box was surprisingly good as well.

OK guys, I've taken the plunge. I've purchased a N54 135i this past Saturday. Most major items were fixed under motorplan this year in June. So its only the turbos that are a concern in the near future. Got quotes on repairs and it is within reason.

I can't seem to upload pics again. (Image file missing! Error). Would anyone be able to assist?

Nice rides there and best colour by far! N54 is a great engine, it has its niggles (but at least they are know now). Enjoy it
