New RS3 thoughts.

What you guys think of the facelifted RS3 sedan. Do you think it's comparable to the M2. Figures are an impressive 4.1 sec 0-100 time. There was a reviewer that actually got 3.8 in oman. I like the tech in the interior like the virtual cockpit and that 5 banger sounds like a v10. Downside for me is the understated looks from the outside (although for some that sleeper look is what they want).
Nice to hear your thoughts on this machine.
Cheers

All the Audi reviews seem to say they are boring to drive. But that's only when tracking or pushing these cars to their limits. But as you say, it doesn't look special enough for that money. M2 looks better I think and will be more of a fun drive. Audi does have a nicer tech interior, but looks and drive are more important to me.

From an M2 owner it looks bang on for me. I had a short experience in one in the U.K. recently, off the line it'll obviously show the m2 a ghost. Apparently in the corners it's quite competent too, but I wasn't driving so couldn't comment much. M2 does have that more aggressive look though and I'm a sucker for the hips. M2 CS is pretty soon-ish too so let's see I guess. I daily my M2 but RS3 looks to be a accomplished alternative, and the interior definitely is a better place to be in.

This whole front bumper thing is a bit too much for me, AUDIs are suppose to be nice and clean with subtle looks not shouting at your face. Surprisingly my boss likes it and is trading in his S3 for this...

think the car looks hot..perfect size etc...its more FWD with wider tyres in front as well...think the 1 bar plus price tag is stupid!

Everything you just said. Nothing further.

Really good looking car, it has the right proportions but I would still go for the M2 if I had to choose.

Have you noticed that all the Germans are doing this big side vent thing? Some of them aren't even functional.

Don't get it, and am not a fan.

M2 will blow you away on the track... Everywhere else this will be a beast. I would happily pay the asking price for a car that does 0-100 in under 4s. Interior is sublime and exterior is what you'd expect from a RS Audi.

buy a GTR if its times you're after

based on prices abroad this car should be at around R700k..we always get screwed with prices in SA even when the car is produced here...all because we don't allow imports so there is no competition.

I saw a sedan version on the highway this morning, in that Nardo Grey colour.

While it looks good, I still can't justify over R1bar for this thing.

+1

R1M is still a lot of money to me (even though it seems people are flocking to buy these cars at this price point along with R700K Golfs). I could never spend R1M on this car.

i actually really like the car but i would just be annoyed knowing how I'm getting ripped off...i would much rather buy a little apartment. But i get it..car allowance & it must be a new car..BOOM its this or a R600k golf i suppose..thats the SA car industry :biglol:

While i can think of way better ways to part with a cool million, this car is by all accounts a very impressive machine. You either going to love it or find the understated look a bit meh. Also to be clear most Audi guys cannot justify spending R1m on the M2 - so it cuts both ways - different strokes i guess. Being a family man i would rather opt for the RS6 or M5. Anything over a million I will go big or ... :tiptoe:

its like R300k over what it should be priced at.

Considering they asking over a mil for a golf club sport, I think it's "fairly" priced. But i agree, dealerships make big bucks by skipping the waiting list

in England if a car is priced too high you just import it. Pricing is competitive. It is out of control in SA but people pay so its working for them.

I have also seen the sedan recently it was actually parked so I could get a good look. I like the fact that it looks so compact, but I somehow prefer the hatch? Not sure why..

The M2 also has the full digital dash right? I like those
