The Senior SharePoint Administrator must be able to analyse information architecture, understand business requirements, configure and maintain organisational taxonomies, site collections, policies, procedures, and solutions. This position requires expert knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013 architecture, functionality, and configuration.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Serve as Lead in maintenance and back-end of the Company SharePoint Infrastructure.
• Manage and monitor all installed SharePoint infrastructure
• Installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and managing a SharePoint Server or a Farm.
• Design of expansion of farm and integration of existing SharePoint farms with Cloud technology
• Apply industry accepted best practices, as well as principles and processes uniquely related to SharePoint
• Configuring all service applications like Search, Metadata, UserProfile Synchronization etc.
• Strong understanding of what can be done using OOB features in SharePoint
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions,
and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Proactive monitoring of the farm (performance, storage capacity, growth, CPU, memory, etc.) to resolve heath issues and potential issues before they become outages
• Solid understanding of Active Directory and Mail Configuration.
• Solid understanding of Virtual infrastructure and specifically VMWare
• Extensive experience of IIS, Windows Server, SSRS and SQL
• Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting
• Provide 3rd level support
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Ensure latest patches, cumulative updates and service packs are applied to the SharePoint Farm
• Experience with
- Records Management
- Backing up and restoring Site Collections, sites and lists
- Administering Web Applications, Site Collections and sites
- Information Management Policies
- Configuring SharePoint Application Services including Enterprise Search
- Configuring managed metadata and working with taxonomies
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Regularly review, clean-up, manage and configure SharePoint accounts and sites.
• Lead and implement SharePoint implementations, integration, configuration, and end user training
• Oversee data mapping/migration, database structure, and client configuration.
• Adhere to Information Security policies and procedures to ensure safeguarding of all SharePoint data and information.
• Adhere to Project Management and Change Management policies, procedures and guidelines
• Work with the global SharePoint team to support the Global SharePoint Infrastructure.
• Prepare required statistical reports as requested by management.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.


This candidate needs to be rather senior.
Needs to have worked on SharePoint for a min of 5 years.

“I don’t want anyone who is a basic administrator who has managed team sites.”

Permanent Role

The salary is negotiable due to the limited resources.
