Hey guys. New member here from Pretoria. I don't own a BMW as yet. My previous car was a Polo 1.9TDI. Sold that last year and I am currently in the market for something new. Looking at a E82 135i or maybe a F20 118i. Most of the people in my family drive BMWs so I know the brand pretty well. Joined so that I can do some research on the cars I'm looking at.

Thanks guys. I'm not doing much mileage everyday so I can live with the petrol costs of the 135i. I like the F20 120d but from the ones I've seen, its out of my budget
Yes. Thats it. They are similar priced. With the F20 you obviously get the advantage of a newer car but the 135i has the power

Yea I was missing the diesel consumption. TT wasn't terrible but nowhere close to my old Polo. 135i would have definitely been worse. Averaged 5.1L/100km driving the 320d from Durban back to PTABack to Diesel! Well done.
