Newbie, dropping by to say hi gents.
First time BMW owner - M235i F23, MY16.
Have her since March 20, just before lockdown.
My long story about getting here...
Had my eye on a 2016 m240i, F23 but sadly it was sold before I could contact the dealer . There were no others F23s in the price range and mileage I wanted, the other car I was considering was the golf R 7.5.
After a test driving the R, didn't really feel connected to the road, even though the speedo was telling it differently. Was about to settle and sign for the R on the Friday, there were complications with the finance Dept and paperwork which the dealer said would be sorted the Monday.
That same weekend, an almost identical vehicle to M240i, I missed out on became available online - F23 M235i
Thought why not just test drive before signing for the Golf. Just to make sure I was doing the right thing.
Less than 5 Min into the test drive, I knew this was it. Cancelled the Golf with the dealership the same day and could not be happier as a 1st time owner of a BM.
