I know I can get honest feedback here. Is the carbon fiber awful or recent? I am undecided.

Maybe take a picture from a distance so we can see the whole car and not only the carbon piece which you did.

Honestly I prefer a matt black then a carbon piece, except if it is part of a bigger picture like carbon on the front bumper and maybe somewhere else on the car, so please post a bigger picture before we judge the look and then it looks BRILLIANT from a bigger view with the complete car in view.

Ok. That's a good idea. I actually was going to plasti-dip the grill and the trim matte black but took a last minute detour. So still undecided. Will send entire car pic soon. .

I don't like the BMW badge replacement roundel you have put there. I think that looks very cheesy. You wanted honesty.

But the grill doesn't look too bad but as others have said, take pics from a distance and lets see the whole car.

Looks good but you gonna need to do the entire grille in that carbon fibre not only the top.. It looks unfinished.

Yes it is Monaco blue. So you so so you think gloss black vertical grill slats and then the bottom in carbon fiber?

No I think just the chrome bits should be gloss black. The fins can stay matte. Just my opinion though.

+1. And, in all honesty, the bonnet/hood badge does look cheesy, to me. An OEM badge or even an aftermarket black and white badge would be much better.

Welcome to the forum!

With regards to the question, first of all, whether it's cheesy in my or someone else's eye is irrelevant, if it works for you that's what counts I guess. But, personally, not a fan of the replacement roundel, and while carbon fibre is nice in some cases, the odd piece that is apparently added on the one top kidney trim, that lets it down. And for the kidney grills, either matt or satin black works better I think.

The car is a very nice colour BTW!
