Hi All

I’ve been getting a Drivetrain Malfunction Warning Light , followed by a message saying that I have reduced power functionality and that I should take the vehicle to a service centre.
However, this warning disappears after I restart the vehicle.

This has occurred on about three separate occasions while driving spiritedly.

I am slightly concerned about this even though the car is still under Motor-plan.

Any thoughts?

How did you go about reporting this to the service centre etc?

booked the car in mentioned the error I got, they did diagnostics and informed me car had to stay overnight as they were awaiting stock got the car back the next day but they also did discs and pads so cannot recall if they were waiting for cooler or discs at the time

Congratulations. Awesome vehicle.

I would get the vehicle checked by BMW. I have driven my car hard several times, one for a few 100kms over some mountain passes and appart from very hot brakes I had no other warnings or issues. Just dont use BMW Midrand, they will not fit all the correct parts according to BMW Spec and they will damage your car.

Here is my mineral white. Great colour!

Hi Bruce

Thanks for the feedback.

Will do so expeditiously.

I’m well aware of BMW Midrand from what I’ve read on your Posts.

Thanks again
