Well like every model of M3 made i'm sure this one will be no exception. It most defiantly will be epic.
With the engine configuration, nobody knows what it will be. Even the journos are speculating. Some say a heavily reworked N55, or a all new V6 twin or tri- turbo. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
For some of the comments........
Will I be selling my V8 for this? Never in a million years.
Will I ever buy the new turbochaged M3? Maybe
BMW's M division will always be known for their high revving NA motors. Hence I'll be keeping one of their last great NA engines ever made. Its not about how fast or slow the car is. Its the way it makes you feel, not what's under the hood. This is what every M car instils in their drivers, regardless of their engine aspiration.
For me every time that V8 redlines too 8600rpm, it brings a smile to my face. Not forgetting the awesome engine response and REAL sound track.
BTW, before buying the new M3 i'll hang on. Reason being with every high performance turbocharged car there will be some teething issues. Usually with every M car on a track the problem one experiences is break fade, this is the normal case with most road cars on a track. No other issues however, but with the new M5 like the Merc CLS when tested by Car Magazine last year it goes into limp mode after just 3 laps. No that's unheard of in an M car. :nonono:
