New here - My Alpina

I would, but that would bring a wave of purchase offers that I dread. I'm a car guy. Out of the hundred cars I have owned, I keep the rare and oddball ones. People have tracked me down to the point that all my cars are now owned by a family trust regesterd as a business. I still get people leaving notes on my house. I bring them out to their respective events so people can view or even drive them. Then they get hidden again. I like my privacy, but put up with the over enthusiasts. My daily driver is a 97 civic beater, most people think that I'm one of those long talkers, but the proof is in the barn. Very few people walk through those doors though, so I just take it with a grain of salt. Never judge a car guy by looks. Rather by the heft of his Keychain.

I assume, by your comment re the Washington issued VIN, that you are in the US.

This forum is South African based so I can guarantee you that not many people here would offer to buy your car as getting it here would be a nightmare.

:=):

If my assumption is incorrect, well then you know what they say; assumption is the mother of all ****ups.

South African based! Now I know. I'm in the American north east. Car culture is world wide and growing stronger with Internet technology. I'm new to both and jumping in. I found this car in Stuttgart wile on vacation. Shipped it through Canada to pacific coast. Brought it in us in Washington state to save Alpina mods. And shipped it back across the country. Was a pain, but it is the original vehicle (excluding the side mount lights added, and active headlamps deactivated ). I love to show the car. It gets lots of attention here. My intention here is to hopefully find a old school person who can teach me how to use the on board computer. It's all in German and everyone who tries, just messes it up. It's not the same as a American model . Just looking for a little help world wide.
