New G20 paint job quality

So i was parked next to 2 G20's and i was shocked to see the paint job quality...instead of seeing a beautiful clean reflection ...it had like an orange peel look...its not the first time ive seen this on brand new cars though...seen it too many times..is it just poor quality control...i would not be happy if my new car had that finish.

This has been a bmw thing for decades except individuals. @neven can even tell whether panels have been sprayed by the orange peel.

True story. Although, good panel shops can replicate orange peel to OEM spec these days.

Orange peel is actually painted on purpose to hide defects

It's just more prevalent on some vehicles
