New fanatic intro and first time project car.

Hi everyone!

As many of us, I am a BMW fanatic for as long as I can remember! My first was a 1979 BMW 518 exec.

I am a teacher by profession -can't afford the BMWs I'd like to own!- but I have only driven BMWs!

My old 525i suffered an accident a year ago. I found that to be the prefect opportunity to start my first project! I did all the work myself thanks to my dad's enthusiasm for similar projects while growing up.

I love the Bavaria badge so I created a special custom one on my car that is under the clearcoat. Will post more pics of that soon!

I changed the front grille to the wider 540 type and the colour from burgundy to sapphire black. That meant doing everything inside as well!

I love the look of the car now!

Hope I get the photobucket thing right!

Also, I have included a pic of my other BMW, e39 528i.

My other car:

Both cars need some work to get them in top condition again but I love them and hope to get them all sorted out this year!

I know I am in the best company! I'm really grateful...

here are some pics of that Bavaria badge - I sprayed a coat of silver onto the body, pasted a cutout of the badge onto the silver and then sprayed the base coat. Thereafter, removed the cutout and sprayed the clearcoat.
