Hmmmm, maybe.... maybe not..... maybe..... maybe not.

I think as with anything, some design elements will need some getting used to.

RIP N55 and B58 :hammerhead:

The interior is great...the rest i think ill have to see it in person to decide. On the fence on this one.

Same here... considering what the interior looked like on the 1st 1 series... this looks really high end.

Need to see the exterior in person... but I'm not feeling it at the moment

I think, like with any new car it will take time for us to like the looks. I will reserve judgement until I see them on the road. I'm sure it will eventually grow on all of us.

Apparently these are only xdrive or front wheel.

Surely that takes the 'fun' factor out?

EDIT: did not watch the video, not sure if it is there or not.

Up side - BMW is taking a cookie cutter approach to their interiors which is good since it lifts the quality of the lower tier models. Wonder how much of it will be standard kit though.

Down side - That face. The dotted grille looks cute on a Merc but on the Beemer it just reminds me of a Kia. Too much bezel around the grille too. The 3/4 front view looks awkward. And what's with that smiling lower air intake...?

Overall...meh. It looks pudgy...like it was squished from front to back, especially when compared to the new A-Class (a very svelte, flowing design).

+1. Shares many of its parts with the Mini Countryman and the 2-Series Active Tourer.

Kind of like the reverse of a 3 and 4 series method where the one is now the sportier version of the 2-Tourer.
