Okay, no accidents.

So then...

Could the man who couldn't afford to keep the car, afford to repair and maintain it properly whilst he had it?

Well it has a FSH and the car looks very well looked after compared to other e46 330d I have looked at. :) The current owner has spent a lot of money and time to keep it in a very good condition and that is pretty awesome to me!

Why not get get the HPI report. If the vehicle had an insurance claim it would reflect. Simple.

These cars are not easy to find. A 330d E46 150kw 6 speed manual individual is near impossible to find. Check this car out nicely. Arrang with the current owner to take it somewhere that has a lift and inspect under. Some people out there are honest. SOunds like this guy selling is honest. Take the car I say knowing how difficult it is to find one. 1st take it for a nice spin with lots of stop go. You should get low fuel consumption. Basically its all about the fuel consumption on these cars. all the best.

I checked eveything out and it looked perfect! Sooo now im the new owner of it and Im EXTREMELY happy with it!!! Checked the wheel alignment today and the place says its 100%. Will do the swirl flap del asap, this car is veeery neat and clean eveywhere I look. The biggest problems with it in order of importance is: sunroof is kinda broken so it wont shut 100%; some bushes need to be replaced; the front tyres are different brands; satnav screen is dead (not too bothered with that), but radio works; no boot carpet lol.

Thanks for everyones input! :)

Congratulations bud. Safe miles

The swirl flaps are really easy to sort out. I did mine the weekend that past. I can guide you through the process if you prefer to do it on your own. Different tires on these cars can make it handle like something seriously wrong. I can't help you yet on the sunroof. I also need to sort mine. The rubber seal is loose at the front and the manual opening cover to block out the light is out of the rail. That screen shows a fair amount of info. You can check the obc, watch tv and use sat nav which is not that wow. Instead of replacing with another one (unless you get it cheap) look at the andriod options. its around R5k.

haha thanks dude! I might attempt to do it myself this time yeah, I will just chek what tools I need, I know theres many tutorials online. The sunroof I will also chek out and if it looks too messed up Ill take it to someone who will be able to fix it for me :). Fortunitly im not interested in waching the k@k on SABC and the satnav.. I dono it's just not up to scrach of what any android device can do, so I will definitly look for an android unit, it will propbably be able to to OBDII as well :p

Yeah the tv signal is not that great and the programs are even worse.

The sat nav takes a while to program and is not pin point perfect like on google maps. Its old tech so yeah. Android radio for me also.

The tools you will need are the basic torx stuff for the covers and a socket set to remove the manifold. One Jubilee clip for the brake booster hose. A tiny torx screwdrive (same one used for cellphones), a file to file the other side of the screws. Torque wrench. I think thats about it.

The best android satnav unit I know of is www.avinusa.com. Expensive but it's actually a polished and well thought out product compared to the dynavin and other shit out there.

That is one impressive piece of kit. Expensive but awesome stuff and good support. Going to look into getting myself this. Thanks for the link.

That one does look like the best one to me as well, is it even possible to get it here?

You'll have to import it. I've spoken to the founder a few times. He's quite in the ball and developed the product to solve all the issues of the current options like dynavin and the dynavin clones. To me, is rather pay a higher price than cheap out and have to live with the shortfalls of substandard quality head units.
