New comer

Hi everyone,

I have read so much on this forum and now finally a member, I simply love BMW, its the best car, its the only car anyone should drive lol, I have loved a BMW all my life, I am 31 now and now only could I manage to get one, I bought a 2005 E90 320D Msport, with 135 000km on it. its a beauty, however my luck turned to a nightmare very quickley, it was in an accient the next day, some idiot with no insurance knocked into my baby, but she will be fixed soon, then I gave her a nice clean and apparently the vaccum touched an airbag plug under the seat and the airbag light came on, 2 days ago the warning sound for seatbelt started craoking and stopped working, I feel like crying, I only got the car for 3 weeks now, I really need some advice and help people, please, one BMW lover to another, oh and lastly I am now doubting if my bmw is really an Msport as it doesnt have the msport bumper, but it got all the interior of an msport, I am just depressed really,

Thanks, It will, Its going in next week to the panelbeater, after that to the workshop for a service, but still loving it, still hopefull, and praying. BMW is the best,

Cool, I'm sure is just minor thing so don't worry too much...

Also from the pix doesn't really look like is Msports:fencelook:, but I'm not sure...

Sorry to hear. Hope you can get it sorted. Take the vin to BMW and see what it says on their system about it being an MSport.

That said, all manufactures have their issues. You could just have a car with a few random issues. Is this car still under motorplan??

When it comes to a secondhand vehicle, I however believe it's the people that worked on the car in the past that's done the most damage. I can write 3 books about all the crap I've been through with local workshops "fixing" my cars in the last 5 years. Broken clips, ill fitted parts, and bits being glued back after it's been broken is only the tip. At least I can check the work and pick up on anything that seems out of place, but there are so many people who have no choice but to believe what a mechie tells them.

Always ask what exactly the mechie has done. Let him walk you through it and if you can check it yourself when you get home.

Edit: Also have a look at our Dent Doctor Advertiser. He's very helpful. Send him some picks of the damage even if it's just to get his opinion.

you have the exclusive bumpers on,so it either started life as a exclusive,and was being transformed into a m/sport or it was a m/sport and had a accident and the panelbeater put on the wrong bumpers.
can check this with bmw,if im not mistaken

Thanks man, I agree 100% with you, recently I fitted a tracker on the car and they broke a clip, no one cares for your car as much ass you do, thats why although I dont know much now, and this is my first car, I will be learning as much as I can and will be getting all the reset and diagnosis tools and will be doing my own services etc soon,

no motorplan, has 135000km on it,

I have another post, its confirmed its a sportspack not a msport, but its okay
