New car prices and exchange rates

Most new car dealers have increased prices significantly over the past 6 months or so, most giving the blame to the poor exchange rate.

Has anyone seen any dealer that has decreased prices now that the Rand is at R13.30/US$ ?

I really don't feel sorry for the motor trade at the moment. Car dealers remain as arrogant as before and prices remain stratospheric. Everyone is quick on the bandwagon to increase prices when the exchange rates weaken, yet nobody brings prices down when it strengthens.

It's not just cars sir.....it's the same on everything. Did anyone see a drop in the price of milk / bread / etc when the fuel price came down almost R1.00 / litre last week? Nope.

When it goes up a Rand every litre of milk and loaf of bread goes up 25 to 40 cents and they blame fuel costs.

Its the great gouging.......:RedNo::RedNo:
