Alternator pushes serious amps so I would say a good healthy battery and car will take an hour to charge from empty.

I went with varta at r1100 but the guys messed up the price. I paid less than cost from the shop. ..Lol.

my salesman did similarily when we first got the MaXim batteries on consignement, he charged the VAT free price + mark up, and didn't ask for a scrap return battery either
lost about R200 each on the first 4 batteries we sold
