New Battery keeps dying and Boot issue 118i

Help Again. LOL

So stangely the battery on the 118i keep dying, ok i havent been driving it regularly but after parking for 2 or more days, its dies? Whats the correct size battery required for the 118i?

Further more, i have strange issue where the boot opens and locks whilst driving , however when i lock if parked off, its fine.

Any body can recommend any good auto electricians in JHB North?

Hi bud

With regards to the battery.
1) You dont really drive much so i'd suggest purchasing a ctec maintanance charger. Help extends the life of your battery.
i dont start my 1m sometimes in months and with the ctec charger i can get in at anytime and crank it first time.
2) 70% of the time car batteries drain out due to tracking units. if you have a tracker, it is recommended that you replace the battery every two years.
3) make sure your battery is the correct spec. always go OEM approved. you can find these batteries at any Battery Centre. You can either go 652 silver calcium or 652AGM. My preference is AGM. By far the best and all newer vehicles taking them.

Tracker units are not the problem, Netstar units are the ones that drain batteries faster than you can charge them...

with regard to your boot issue
its strange indeed.
but you say it only unlocks it when driving
is it not maybe your key?
just as a test use your spare key for a couple of days and see if its still releases?
