Collected the car yesterday, man what a head turner! Needs a bit of under the skin tlc but generally not in bad nick! A big shout out to Splintheter for dragging me around yesterday and to letting me store the car by him. End of a 9 year search and now the very very proud owner of an E28!!

So with the purchase of the car,comes the aftermath of getting parts!
So been on eBay checking for parts, so far have ordered a new gear shift boot, two new electric seat switches and the rubber insulation for the boot. Gotta love shopping online!!
Will keep the thread updated as and when I get stuck into the car. So hopefully new parts arrive in the next short while,and I can get stuck in. So far so good!

I have a set of e28 M5 BBS rims. I have a set of 5. One has curb rash. The other 4 only need a respray...they are straight. Don't really want to sell as these rims just drive so nicely on my 325iS. Thanks Jody! It is an awesome feeling, just a bit sad I can't spend more time working on the car right now, but I'm not too stressed cos it's letting me get all the bits and pieces I need for it in the meantime.

Just as a matter of interest, does anyone know of a good autotrimmer in Cape Town, or potentially have a line on a set of E28 electric seats? Can't find anything on the Gum, OLX etc.
