After being somewhat inactive when it comes to posting on the forum,I need to learn how to post again, but here goes....
I sold my 330d E90 Pre-LCI in May as my bakkie is my daily and old faithful(400k km) does daily site duties so brilliantly, that having a 3rd car(the 330d) in the household eventually became a waste. My wife drives an E87 120d which is an amazing little car,but with the little one due in Jan 2024,we needed a bit more space and I needed a bit more 30d in my life again. So the decision was made to buy the new car which would then become the SO's daily and we will then sell her 120d after the purchase of the new car.
We eventually set out the criteria for the new car and started looking at various different options eventually narrowing it down to a G30 530d with tow bar ,M-sport pack,HK sound and rear camera as minimum requirements ,preferably in white.
Last week a seemingly clean 87000km 2017 comes up with all the bells and whistles I could ever hope for(and more) and I went to look at it and arranged a test drive, the rest is now history and I ended up buying the car a few days later after doing some due diligence. The car went out of plan last year and the last 3 services were carried out by Tune Tech ,which TT very happily sent me the invoices for when phoning them to vet the car.
Below are a few crappy pics I snapped thus far,but I will update the thread with better pics in due course.

First Impressions:
-The car is an absolute dream to drive and IMO it is a massive improvement from all the E and F series cars that I have grown accustomed to over the years. The interior finishes are simply in a different league.
-The car performs extremely well for such a big car,but in the case of the G30 big does not necessarily mean heavy as it only weighs 90odd kg more than my E90 did, that coupled to a lot more power in stock form than the E90 and the wonderful 8HP box ,the package is just sublime. On a recent 100odd km highway trip around JHB it returned a consumption of 5.5l/100 without any real effort from my side,so I am well impressed with this.
-The added space is exactly what we wanted at this stage and the folding seats adds quite a bit more flexibility when it comes to loading larger items.
-The tech takes some getting used to as the two E-series cars we had previously had very little tech, but I would have liked Android Auto functionality in the car as well as it only has Car Play, which luckily suits the SO.
Spec of the car:

So far I am over the moon with the car and look forward to many happy miles in it.The car will remain stock for now,but SW and DP will inevitably be done eventually.
