Need some advice on clutch problem.

My wife's 320i e46 have this clutch noise that sounds like a rattle underneath the car. If you hold the car on it's clutch against an incline, all seems to be fine. As soon as you start letting the clutch out to start moving, you can hear this rattle sound under the car and feel a slight shudder. This only happens when you use low RPM. Also you only have this while you are busy slipping the clutch.If you use 1200 RPM and higher, everything is normal.

If I were to speculate, sounds like you broke your dual mass flywheel. All that new found power...

Whoops, sorry I assumed we were talking about the 330d.

No problem, I just hope the 330d behave well. She is really running strong and i am still have this grin when i put voet!

I have a similar problem on my car but i guess I will know what is going on when I remove the gearbox to do the clutch, but my guess is that it is the dual mass flywheel.
