Need rear tyres

Howsit guys,

I am in need off rear tyres, I currently have Bridgestone all round, should I continue with the same brand or is there something better in terms of performance and price? Is it a bad idea to have the front and back mixed?

If you are happy with the Bridgestones rather still with them. I gather you have RFT's, so the other option if you are not still under motorplan is to ditch the RFT's, but personally I prefer the features that RFT's offer for daily driving. Also, not advisable to mix tyre types and brands for that matter, so RFT's all round or non-RFT's all round... :thumbs:

Bridgstone RFTs are expensive to replace. But great for dry/wet street use. Stick with them is my advise.

DUNLOPS.......:argh:

if money is not a problem... Bridgestone and Michelin are miles ahead of the rest, esp. in the wet.

Never mix brands, causes car to handle unperdictably, and not according to factory spec, esp on a high performance car like a 135, (you might end yourself up in a situation,)

and on the assumption that you are only wanting to replace rear tyres, i presume you dont always drive 60 with the traction control on....:idea:

Falken is also quite good, gave me good performance and is reasonably priced as well. They are however non runflat.

I'm using Pirelli P Zero RFT's on my 135. I am running 19" but unless I dont turn off DTC and smoke them too often seems pretty good thusfar.

P Zero RFT's are awesome I reckon, but at the time were (not if still the case) hard to find stock...

Im considering changing from RFT's to normal rubber...would need to make a plan with a spare, i believe the dealers have a spare wheel kit which isnt too bulky...what are your thoughts?

Michelin Pilot Supersport is the best I have ever used, but expensive and no run flats.

Federals? Just a quick question do 225/40/18 255/35/18 fit the 135i fine? Going one size wider seems to be cheaper as the 135i comes with 215/40/18 245/35/18 and my fronts cost more than the rear tyres., :thumbdo:

Those sizes should be fine. I'm running Pirelli P Zero Runflats in 255/35/18 at the back with no issues. Will be changing my fronts to the 225/40/18 soon. Those stock sizes are difficult to find (matching front and rear) unless you go for Michelin PS2's which are ridiculously priced!
