Need help

Howzit guys. I need some assistance and I hope somebody could help. I picked up my 2010 320d on Friday and looking over it this weekend I found a random aftermarket siren. It's and rf siren (ie no trigger wires, just power also not going to say where it was). Now I believe this is part of a bigger tracking system. And considering I don't like any aftermarket junk visible I took it off. But now I'm looking for somebody that could hopefully help me by identifying where the other units could be. I found one more elsewhere which I believe is the transmitter to the siren. Also seems to have another receiver built in (maybe for communication with the main unit?) Anyways. I need to find this main unit. And don't really wanna pay to have somebody scratch around my car looking for something that might not exist. Please pm me if you have an idea, or if you have found a similar system in your car. (Probably not the best idea to discuss this on a public forum.

Also im trying to find out what the control unit is for behind the right rear passenger seat, and also the control unit inside the boot under the carpet by the battery, above the fuel filler

Thanks guys

If you are under the assumption of it being a tracker, why not just take it to Tracker and ask them about it? Show them the unit?

You sure your car was not used as a patrol vehicle before by any chance?

Howzit thanks for the reply. I am the 3rd owner from new and I know the previous owner. The one before that was an older gentleman so I think it's safe to say he didn't do any partoling. . . I will probably need to take it in as I don't really wanna screw anything up.

But thanks again.

Yeah dude, best is to take it to them and show them the siren only. If the recognize the system then you can be confident that they have some info or knowledge on the entire system and can help.

Good luck!

For something like this, I would suggest you rather pay a proper company/person to clear your mind, Rather than get someone to fiddle with wiring and mess up your car or not be able to give you the answer you looking for.

Put it this way, If there is something, cool, if there isn't, even better. It is mainly for your peace of mind.

Howzit. Yeah I'll try taking it in later this afternoon.

It was just a thought. I'm not too worried as I have taken 1 out of all my previous cars. But they were in the usual places. This car has a 3 piece system (I think ctrack uses them). So I'm just not sure where the main unit is.

Anyways. Thanks for the reply.
