Peeps i need help - my hassie is not starting, before it happened my brother was playing sound when he was chilling with his friends - starting and letting the car idle now and then. Battery ran out but car started after leaving it off for about 20 minutes. Started the car let it idle while getting ready to leave - came back about 10 min later and the car had switched itself off. Tried starting the car nothing, it cranks but does not take... Any ideas???? Cant do without my Hassie!!!

Gizmo if you by any chance read this - the car is at my moms house in meredale, if you have time during the week to come check it out I would be greatful.

as far as i have been told idling the car doesn't actually recharge the battery. The car needs to be driven for quite a while to charge.

Try jumping the car then go for a drive. Should do the trick:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That does make sense - however I have tried jumping the car but still does not catch, almost as if there is no petrol in the car...

Car is sorted - yes - you guessed right - it was the battery - the boosting was not helping but after towing the car from the south of Jozi to mechanic in Westdene with the car ignition on and on neutral as its steptronic - the battery charged - Just before I got to the mech Dave tried to start and what do u know VRRRRRRUUUUUMMMMM!!!!!!!

I love the sound of this car.... Yipppeee fuc%%$ yeah!!!!! The Sun Arizona B*&^ is back on the road - and its driving like its stolen...

Thanks M3SMG for taking the time to respond.
